Mrs. Esme Praah Siriboe was the founder of the Morning Star School. She was born in Kumasi, Ghana on Sunday 25th April 1926.  She received her elementary and secondary Education at Saltpond Methodist school, Juaso Government School, and Mmofraturo Girls Boarding School.

She later gained Admission to Achimota College where she earned a teacher’s certificate with a specialization in Domestic Science.  She was a super hockey player and served as Entertainment prefect in her final year of 1945.

Her remarkable academic record enabled her to earn CommonWealth Scholarship that sponsored further academic pursuits at University of London’s Institute of Education. She visited and worked with other programmes in Education in Scotland and Wales.
