

The Morning Star School Science Department consists mainly of the Primary and Junior Secondary School divisions. The primary science division, offers a three year course and is responsible for teaching pupils, the basic principles and theorems they should know from the fourth to sixth grade levels. The Junior Secondary School division is a three year course which has been specifically designed to meet the needs of Junior Secondary School students. This course introduces the students to techniques and skills in Science, with emphasis on scientific discovery and basic scientific concepts. Concepts such as Energy, nature of matter, and biological changes are introduced.
The Morning Star School has employed well qualified science teachers to handle the students. The teachers work as a team. The Science Department has two laboratories. Here, experiments are undertaken to enhance students' understanding of the subject. Instructors challenge students to excel by assigning several projects and organising competitions on a regular basis. The department has a co- curricula club which meets weekly during the school's Curriculum Enrichment Programme. The club has gone on many field trips to places including the Tema Oil Refinery
