Computer Department

The Morning Star School Computer Information Communication and Technology program started on a small scale in 1993 by Mrs. Esme Praah Siriboe.

Over the past few years the curriculum and infrastructure has seen tremendous growth. Currently there are two Computer Laboratories with sixty computers all networked with multimedia and internet facilities.

The Computer Laboratory has achieved a lot over its nine years of existence.  Apart from encouraging students to participate in exchange programmes, the students have in collaboration with their IT instructors put up this web-site.  The School has also won several laurels from the Exchange Programmes it undertakes and for this reason has been awarded some trophies and certificates.  Notable among the awards is the recent one attained for the Global Teenage Web Design Project Competition.  Our contestants between the ages of ten and eleven ranked  second.  The organizers were really impressed with our performance, because all other contestants were in Senior Secondary School (High School).

You could view this web-site on http://www.globalteenager.org/morning_star   Students, who attend Morning Star School, will have attained at the end of their education, basic skills in the use of  Information and Communication Technology such as Word-Processing, PowerPoint presentation, Database Management, Spreadsheet, Emailing, and Researching and Browsing from the Internet.  The entire population of the school will always be thankful to the school authorities for establishing  the ICT center.
